Pediatric Nephrology and hemodialysis is a pediatrics’ branch. Pediatric nephrology has been determined for a separate pediatric specialty in the best interest of children care, scientific researching and qualified training.
Pediatric neurologists are pediatricians specialized in diagnosis, prevention and treatment of children with kidney disease or kidney failure. They master the methods of non-renal blood clearance in children with terminal kidney failure and postoperative tracing and treatment of patients after kidney transplantation.
Within the departments of pediatric nephrology and hemodialysis, various problems related to all congenital and acquired diseases of the urinary system in children and adolescents are diagnosed and treated.

Pediatric Nephrology and hemodialysis is a clinical specialty that studies etiology, pathophysiology, anatomy, clinic, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of kidney disease in children.
Pediatric nephrologists should know history taking and objective status of children with kidney disease, read results on diagnostic imaging of the urinary system, be familiar with renal histopathology and read it, be able to apply methods of functional diagnostics of the urinary system.
They must know and apply contemporary therapies for diseases of the urinary system, including glomerular and tubular abnormalities, water-electrolyte abnormalities and acid-base metabolism hypertension.
