In view of the exceptional opportunities in diagnostics, the Department of Medical Oncology provides admission, diagnosing, staging and follow-up of patients with all types of solid tumors. The Department has been equipped with the latest world technologies of treatment. Patients shall be welcomed by an established team of professionals in order to be forwarded to examinations, needed to confirm a diagnosis or provide a subsequent treatment. Each patient’s file is reviewed by a Cancer Committee – a multidisciplinary partnership among specialists from the Departments of Radiation, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, Medical Genetics, Clinical Pathology and Gastroenterology.
The infusion center consists of 14 specially equipped chairs/beds with individual access to gas and aspiration, providing opportunities for blood draw, a place for a companion to stay (at a patient’s request) and the possibility to store personal belongings. All seats have access to TV and Wi-Fi Internet.
