Gastroenterology is an area of the internal diseases. It deals with diagnosis, non-surgical therapy and prevention of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Gastroenterological diseases are affecting the gastrointestinal tract, including the organs from the mouth to the anus, along the alimentary canal.
