Skin and venereal diseases are diseases transmitted from one person to another.
Some skin diseases are: acne, moles, warts, vitiligo, dermatitis, eczema, scabies, melanoma, microsporia, psoriasis, rosacea, roseola infantum, pink lichen, seborrhea, impetigo, itching, hyperhidrosis, chloasma.
Venereal diseases - diseases transmitted sexually (DsTS) or sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are generally acquired by sexual contact, most often in vaginal intromission, oral sex or anal sex.
These diseases used to be called venereal diseases or shameful diseases in older literature, but in recent years a term with broader sense is preferred - sexually transmitted infections (STI). Sick people can be infected and can infect others without showing any symptoms of a disease.
Additionally, some infections can be spread through used medical needles, as well as when giving birth or breastfeeding. Sexually transmitted diseases have been known for hundreds of years.
